Budget Reno has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your projects, receipts and photos are stored on your device. When you search for prices or deals, only what’s needed for that search is sent to our server.

Projects, items, costs, budgets, notes, receipt and product photos, saved finds, and your tester code. We can’t see them. Deleting the app (or clearing the website’s data) removes them. Use Import & export to keep a copy.

• Searches and deals: what you searched for, plus your general area (the nearest town, or the postal code or ZIP you entered) and search distance. • Location box: what you type (a town, postal code or ZIP) to suggest places. It goes only to our server — not to Google or a maps company. • Shopping list ideas: the room and the look you describe, and the names of items already on your list. • “Find it cheaper”: the product link you paste. • Receipt scanning: the receipt photo you choose, read once and not kept by us. • Price watches and “See it installed”: the product names you’re watching or looking at. • Your tester code, to check you’re allowed live prices. We don’t store these with anything that identifies you. Short-lived caches (up to a day) keep repeat searches fast; error logs may briefly keep technical details.

You can use Budget Reno without an account. If you sign in (with Apple, Google or an email code), we keep your email address, your name if you add it or Apple/Google shares it, and a copy of your projects and price watches, so you can use them on other devices. This is stored with Supabase (our database provider) and only you can read it. Item photos stay on your device. You can delete your account and this copy at any time from Your account → Delete account; it’s removed right away.

Only used if you tap “Use my location”. Your device’s position is sent once to our server to find the nearest town, and saved on your device as your project’s search area; we don’t keep a history of where you’ve been. You can type a town, postal code or ZIP instead. Place names come from GeoNames (geonames.org, CC BY 4.0).

To find prices we pass your search (not your name or device details) to: SerpApi (Google Shopping results), Anthropic (AI shopping lists), and eBay (used listings, when connected). The app is hosted on Expo (EAS Hosting). Receipt photos are read by Anthropic’s Claude and not stored by Budget Reno; Anthropic may keep API data for a limited time under its own policy. Store pages and flyers you open belong to those stores and follow their own privacy policies.

Item photos stay on your device. A receipt photo is only sent when you choose to scan it, to read the items and prices.

Budget Reno isn’t aimed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
